IC INFORMATION;
Characters Name: Peter Rumancek
Age: 18
Canon: Hemlock Grove
Canon Point: Post-series
Species: Werewolf
Gender: Male
Orientation: Straight with gay subtext and semi-gay panic. He is shown to have romantic relationships with women within the series, but his relationship with Roman is so different from a regular friendship that it is a matter of question within the series from the perspective of other characters.

History:
Peter had been used to constantly moving from place to place with his mother, because of his family roots it wasn't common for them to stay anywhere for longer than a year. But at the same time he was never really one that made many relationships with other, both because of how common it was for him to move on and because of the fact that it was never a secret that he is a Romani (although he literally calls himself a gypsy and jokes about werewolf being politically incorrect). The irony found in how people are quick to judge him for his heritage is that people often don't learn about his ability to turn into a werewolf once a month.

Both in the series adaption as well as the book we get clips of things that Peter experiences as a child. Most of these prominent memories include his grandfather Nicolae, and only one was about his previous encounter with an upir. The stories of growing up around his grandfather Peter learns first-hand what happens to werewolves that make themselves turn against the full moon. He also shares a story with Peter that not only tells of his first experience with an upir but also how the victim of this meeting was a relative that may be their connection to the Godfrey family. And lastly that Peter himself was Nicolae's favourite grandchild, and because of this he had to be the one to behead his own grandfather at his funeral so that Nicolae would not rise from the dead.

It isn't until Peter is seventeen that he and his mother come into Hemlock Grove, mostly because of the death of his uncle Vince. He and his mother Lydia take to living in the trailer that belonged to his uncle, moving in during the Summer he doesn't run into many of the locals quickly. Rather, he encounters a young girl named Christina who is very keen on talking to him. Christina considers herself as someone collecting as much information because she wishes to become a Russian novelist. Although later in the story we learn that her interest isn't all innocent. From the first encounter Christina is quick to ask him if he's a werewolf, because of some folklore she found that connected having one's index and middle finger the same length. Playing into it he tells her that he is, and this leads into more questioning on not just being Romani but also on being a werewolf. It's shown that she visits him a few times between his arrival and the beginning of the school year.

Shortly after Peter's arrival in Hemlock Grove a series of murders take place, all of which were performed on young girls with their bodies found ripped apart. With no real idea of what is going on and with Christina's wild imagination she is convinced that Peter is behind them because he's a werewolf and begins to spread rumors of such.

It's through this, and many high schoolers believing such wild accusations, that he connects with Roman. Mostly because they both end up having the same visions about what is going on and want to figure out how to put a stop to it. Eventually he befriends Shelly, Roman's outcasted sister, as well as Letha (Roman's cousin). It's like Scooby-Doo, but not really. Roman and Peter are the only two trying to figure things out, and in the middle of all of that Peter falls in love with and has a relationship with Letha.

Eventually they learn that Christina was the one behind all the murders because she becomes a vargulf, Shelly saves the day and Letha dies while giving birth to her mystery baby. Being so upset by this whole situation Peter cuts off all his hair and leaves town with his mother, and Roman cries about it in the darkness.

Season 2, the return of Peter and Roman is a dick.

Season 3, the tale of the missing baby and the end of the world as we know it
Appearance:
About five-ten, shaggy brown hair, blue eyes, hipster scum.
Personality:
Peter isn't so much as a rude guy, more like he's just matter of fact and just could care less how things come out. It's probably a good time to note that he's not the most politically correct guy to walk around. Not thinking twice he goes on to calling a young teen girl a retard after her asking a series of invasive questions. He's not very used to making friends and getting along with anyone, but Peter is more than willing to just go with the flow and talk to people.

Because of this he is pretty easy about just answering questions, even if they're kind of invasive. Such as being called a werewolf and just perpetuating the fact because it's easier for people to dismiss it if he doesn't treat it seriously. Peter understands that because of who and what he is what he says isn't taken seriously by most people. This is a fact he states when Roman confronts him about what he says to people about what's going on.

Of course, there are some questions and statements that seem to be so far out there that come from his later encounters with Roman and Letha Godfrey. Each of them asking him things that has Peter thinking to himself or simply just not answering. Of course in this case it was because these were people he found himself truly interested in for one reason or another.

As abrasive as Peter could find himself being at times he has noted that he's not one for violence. And as the series continues we can see how he struggles with this aspect when it becomes absolutely necessary. From the beginning we see how he responds to being attacked by a group of high school boys, to the very end when he has to end Roman's life. From curling into a ball against the attacks, to going through is final transformation into a vargulf in order to rip out Roman's throat and heart.

Because of his lifestyle, Peter isn't much on having a lot of material possessions. In fact he's not much for having a whole lot of money on hand, and is used to performing a few cons just to get by. Although when push comes to shove he's not above getting a normal job, when he returns to Hemlock Grove in season two he takes up a job driving a tow truck and doing some mechanical work. This was of course a strenuous situation, both because he was trying to raise the money to get his mother out of jail and because he needed a way to get around to investigate some visions he'd been having.

Peter was told and raised to always run when there was danger, mostly because of the story his grandfather shared on his own boyhood experiences and also because it was easier than dealing with whatever was going on. Though a part of him resents this because he realizes there are some situations he can't run from and would rather deal with them. This ends up being his fate as well as his ultimate downfall.
Abilities:
+ Enhanced strength
+ Turning
+ Heightened senses
- Mercury is a weakness in his normal body
- Peter does not have any rapid healing abilities and could be killed by physical harm
Other:(warning for gore within link provided)
Peter is able to turn at will, however if he turns on the wrong moon he is at risk of becoming a vargulf. He was shown to be skilled at partly transforming, making part of the wolf body to emerge from his own and the muscles and tissues underneath his muscles to transfigure into that of his wolf body, and even have a part of it come out of his skin, like the head. Doing this without a full moon was capable of causing Peter's downward spiral into becoming a vargulf.
There will be a disclaimer/opt-out post made to explain some of Peter's language choices as well as to allow people to state whether they feel comfortable with that or not.

SAMPLES;
First Person:
[ this wasn't something peter really did, in fact he can't think of any sort of network he really felt comfortable in. but instead he takes a breath before speaking ]

Is anyone missing a cat?

[ it's at this point he holds up a cat that had been sitting in his lap, he didn't mind it and certainly wasn't being rough with it in any way ]

She keeps following me around, and doesn't look like she's a stray. [ he turns the cat for him to look at again, it's just a moment of staring at each other before setting it back down on his lap ]

Definitely not a stray, she's too clean and has some manners. [ things he just picked up on, you know, just casually ]

If you're missing her she's been coming out to the woods, so I suggest you come and pick her up if you want her back. [ that's not to say he didn't think about just keeping the cat ]

Uh, yeah. So just call me or whatever, I'll keep her safe for you in the meantime.

Third Person:
It was strange to say the least, was that an understatement?, Peter could care less over how articulate his thoughts were. This was just fucking weird, bottom line. And of course, what better place to retreat than in the wooded area that he was familiar with.

"Fuck." Peter, of course, had tried to find his way out already. But after getting into that dense fog and finding himself right back in the suburbs he had to admit defeat at last. Looks like the the fallback of running into the woods has failed this time.

Instead, now he had himself a case of beer and just sitting on a log as he looks up to the sky. What else could he say? What else could he do? What kind of fucked up afterlife was this anyway?

He may have lost the wolf in him, but it was the sound of something snapping that had him turning with the bottle to his lips. Fuck it, there's nothing I could do anyway.

"What the hell, why don't you just grab a beer and hang out." It wasn't so much a question as a suggestion.

Misery loves company, so long as it isn't Roman. Fuck that guy.
